Annapolis, MD (PRWEB) September 16, 2005
The SMB SIG affiliate of the Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) is pleased to announce it will feature a live demonstration by Oracle Corporation of its Oracle Accelerator tool, an automated implementation tool that is delivered as the cornerstone of its flagship small and medium business application offering; Oracle’s E-Business Suite Special Edition. The SMB SIG, short for Small & Medium Business Special Interest Group, will hold the event during its semi annual meeting as part of the kick off events for Oracle OpenWorld 2005.
“We are delighted that Oracle has agreed to do a live demonstration of the Accelerator for our users,” states SMB SIG Chairperson Mark Sweeney. “Those of us who have used the Accelerator already know first hand how much time and cost the tools are capable of saving. I can not think of a better way to demonstrate this fact to our users than configure an implementation live and on the fly as we will be doing.”
Immediately following the demonstration, the SMB SIG will conduct a Leaders Panel where industry experts from Oracle Corporation and Oracle Certified Partners will field questions directly relating to the implementation of Oracle applications in an SMB setting. The event is part of Oracle’s once a year industry conference, Oracle OpenWorld, in San Francisco CA. “I think their (Oracle’s) willingness to be an active part in the SMB SIG”, continues Sweeney “is a key indicator of their commitment to make world class business solutions accessible to the small and medium business community.”
The SMB SIG meeting will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2005 as part of Oracle OpenWorld 2005 which kicks the previous day and runs through Thursday, September 22, 2005.
